Antigua and Barbuda is in the pipeline to benefit from CARICOM’s Community Public Procurement Notice Board (CPPNB) which is projected to come on stream before the end of 2017. This is an intervention under the Tenth (10th) European Development Fund (EDF) Project on the Development of the Infrastructure and Instruments for an Integrated CSME Procurement Regime.
One of the objectives of the Community Public Procurement regime is to have a unified and single open space for an integrated CSME procurement market.
The initiative, will allow private entities to see public procurement opportunities across the CSME, once they are above the set thresholds for posting on the CPPNB.
These thresholds are:
- For services – US$100,000
- For goods and works – US$1 million
- Procurement opportunities below these set thresholds, will be publicised nationally, for take-up by local enterprises.
